PRC is a place people stay and grow. The scale of the network — more than 20 sites, 13 modalities, 1,250+ healthcare professionals and support staff — means the internal opportunities are real. These are three people who took them.

My Tran Dang — Radiographer to IT

March 2013  Started as an MR assistant while studying

December 2014  Graduated from Curtin with Honours in Medical Imaging

January 2015  Started at PRC Nollamara as a general radiographer — CT training within 3 months

November 2015  Started at PRC Midland Health Campus as a shift radiographer

August 2023  Began ad hoc IT shifts while continuing as a shift radiographer at Midland

April 2024  Officially went part-time in IT at PRC Subiaco and part-time general/CT radiographer at Midland

My's story is a reminder that a career in medical imaging doesn't have to follow a single track. PRC's size means that when you develop an interest in a different part of the business, there's usually a door open.

Julia Conway — Radiographer to Sonographer

2022  Relocated from New Zealand and joined PRC as a radiographer

2022–present  Accepted into the PRC Ultrasound training programme — now a trainee sonographer

Julia's transition from radiographer to trainee sonographer is exactly what the Ultrasound Academy was built for. She describes a training environment that is collaborative, technically demanding and genuinely supportive — with the variety of clinic and hospital sites keeping the learning fresh.
