Doctors
PRC is Western Australia's largest private radiology practice — and for many radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, the most compelling place to practise in the state. The depth of subspecialty expertise, the scale of clinical exposure and the pathway to partnership are genuinely distinctive.
01 — Why PRC for doctors
PRC operates a highly stratified subspecialist reporting model that is, as we are told regularly, rarely seen anywhere in Australia. You'll work within a discipline group of peers who are the best in their field — reporting cases that match your expertise, with the clinical depth and volume to keep your skills sharp.
What sets PRC apart:
• over 130 specialist and subspecialist radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians
• 22 Fellowship-trained MSK subspecialist radiologists alone
• Participation in 40+ MDTs every week across 11 subspecialties
• 1.4 million scans per year — more than all WA public hospitals combined
• Services across 3 major public hospitals, private and community hospitals, and 18+ community clinics
• 23 MRI scanners, 36 CT scanners (including GE Revolution Apex cardiac), 5 PET/CT machines
• A genuine pathway to partnership — 15 new partners admitted in the last five years
02 — Fellowship programmes
PRC offers structured fellowship training for post-RANZCR radiologists seeking subspecialty development in a high-volume, high-quality private practice environment. All fellowships are privately funded, structured around 3 days/week subspecialty training and 1–2 days general radiology, and transition into a 12-month consultant consolidation role on completion.
MSK Fellowship
A 12-month programme with extensive MRI exposure — fellows spend at least 50% of their time reporting MRI across orthopaedics, sports medicine and rheumatology. Supervised by PRC's MSK team, who are WA's foremost leaders in tertiary sarcoma imaging.
• Post-Part 2 RANZCR eligibility required
• Hands-on training in MSK injections and tumour biopsies
• Rotations across three central clinics
• Transitions to 12-month Consultant Radiologist role on completion
Cardiothoracic Fellowship
Structured training in thoracic and cardiac imaging with access to 200,000+ chest and cardiac scans annually. Includes a fully funded GE/AICCT Comprehensive Cardiac CT Training course (valued at approx. $12,000) and leads to full Level A CTCA accreditation.
• Chest CT, HRCT, cardiac MRI, CTCA and image-guided biopsy all in scope
• RANZCR Lung Cancer Screening Training Programme — funded by PRC (compulsory)
• Participation in 7 regular cardiothoracic MDTs
• Research opportunities with in-house and referrer projects
Multi-Disciplinary Radiology Fellowship
Broad subspecialty exposure across MSK/ultrasound, lung screening, dental, O&G, spinal and stroke imaging, and procedures. Particularly suited to radiologists joining private practice for the first time, IMGs, or those returning to the workforce.
• On-call participation after 3-month onboarding period — paid at premium rate
• Funded trip to a major Australian radiology meeting (subject to presentation — capped at $5,000)
• Transitions to 12-month Consultant consolidation role
MRI Fellowship
Comprehensive MRI exposure across all PRC sites, with specific focus on brain, spine and major joints. MDT participation included. Transitions to 12-month Consultant Radiologist role on completion.
Bespoke Fellowship
For the right candidate, PRC offers a fully customised fellowship designed around individual strengths, interests and career goals — across any combination of subspecialties in the PRC network.

03 — Where this can take you
Fellowship at PRC is explicitly designed as the first step of a longer career — not a training rotation that ends with a handshake. The 12-month consultant consolidation role that follows each fellowship is built in from the outset, and the pathway to partnership is real: 15 new doctor shareholders have been admitted in the last five years.
PRC partners own a financially meaningful equal stake in the business — decisions are made by the specialists who do the work, with patients and people at the centre.
04 — By the numbers
130+ specialist and subspecialist radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians
40+ MDTs attended by PRC radiologists every week
15 new doctor-partners admitted in the last five years
2015 year PRC performed Australia's first clinical PSMA PET/CT
650+ clinical trials supported since 2018
$10m+ invested annually in medical imaging equipment
