What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a driven individual to be our next X-Ray Assistant based on a full time Permanent basis. You will be working Monday to Friday 37.5hrs a week and 1 in 3 Saturday morning as regular overtime!
As an X-Ray Assistant, you will gain an understanding on and assist with diagnostic medical imaging procedures in a customer focused manner. You will be provided with full hands on training for approximately 3 months. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor your duties will include:
- Maintaining a high level of care, safety and confidentiality when dealing with patients/customers
- Assist Radiographers and Radiologists with diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT/US injections and FNA’s.
- Ensure Radiologist lists are running on time
- Record and maintain correct documentation for each patient
- Assist with monitoring stock levels
- Data entry
- Ensure change rooms are clean and tidy
What do you need to be considered?
Ideally you will have a professional presentation and approachable manner with a patient care focus mindset. You must be able to liaise effectively with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and work collaboratively in a team.
You will receive full on job training on our systems, and procedures, while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail with analysing confidential patient records, data entry and cross-checking information for accuracy. In addition to the above, you must have:
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to provide a National Police Check dated within 6 months or willing to obtain
- Tertiary educated (degree or diploma) in the field of Science or Nursing
