Radiographer

Radiographers are at the heart of what we do. At PRC, you'll work across the widest modality range in Western Australia — in community clinics, private hospitals and major public hospitals — alongside Australia's deepest bench of subspecialist radiologists.

01 — The role at PRC

PRC radiographers practise across the full breadth of diagnostic imaging. Whether you're drawn to the precision of cardiac CT, the complexity of interventional work, or the variety of a busy community clinic, there's a pathway here.

Modalities and services you'll work across:

•        X-ray — general and trauma

•        CT — including low-dose, CTCA, calcium score and cardiac

•        Mammography and breast tomosynthesis

•        Fluoroscopy

•        Interventional radiology

•        Dental imaging — Cone Beam CT and OPG

•        DEXA — bone densitometry and body composition

With subspecialist radiologists across 15 reporting groups — from cardiac to MSK to breast — you'll never be working in isolation. The clinical depth around you is genuinely exceptional.

02 — Learn & grow

PRC operates a dedicated CT Academy — one of three state-of-the-art modality training academies in the network — designed to help you build skills, earn credentials and learn directly from experienced radiographers and subspecialist radiologists.

What the CT Academy offers:

•        Training across hospital and clinic environments — real patients, not simulations

•        Subspecialty training including cardiac scanning and vascular work-ups

•        Support for research and higher degrees — Masters and PhD

•        ASMIRT conference sponsorship and structured CPD support

PRC also has a formal scholarship programme supporting existing team members to transition into sonography, MRI or nuclear medicine — so where you start doesn't have to be where you stay.

03 — Where this can take you

Radiography at PRC is a starting point, not a ceiling. The breadth of modalities, the structured Academy pathway and PRC's internal mobility mean your career can go in directions that simply aren't available at most practices.

My Tran Dang joined PRC as an MR assistant while studying, qualified as a radiographer, began picking up ad hoc IT shifts, and is now working part-time in IT while continuing as a radiographer at Midland. That kind of crossover doesn't happen by accident — it happens because PRC is big enough to have the opportunities and collegiate enough to support the transition.
